If you want to start lifting and don't know where to begin, this guide is for you. I'm a strong believer that weight training is the most effective exercise for our long term health and wellness as well as reaching our aesthetic goals. That being said, it can also be easy to injure yourself if you don't know what you're doing and jump into heavy weights with improper form. This guide is set up for 3 days a week with a focus on more basic exercises to help you feel comfortable with weights and progressive overload to make sure you are challenging yourself each week. Any weight suggestions are the total weight for the exercise. Barbell and both dumbbells included unless it is a single arm exercise.
